Marko: Hello K. S. is that you name or initials :) ? !
Karthick: My Initials
Marko: I see, ok let’s get started!
Marko: For our reader’s could you tell something about yourself? (year old and other stuff)
Karthick: I am 26 year old. I have been into this profession for the past 4+ years.
Marko: How are you doing these days?
Karthick: I am working as Senior Web Designer in a Software Firm here in Chennai India. Apart from this I do Freelance design jobs.
Marko: When did you first encounter a keyboard or computer?
Karthick: Long back since my schooling days
Marko: What is your favorite art work /website!?
Karthick: Cameron Moll Portfolio
Marko: When you launched verdurethought.com are you happy with the result of the site?
Karthick: I launched Verdure Thought on 25Th September 2006. I am very much happy about the result. In fact it was my greatest dream to have an inspirational design portfolio. I think I am acheived atleast a something of what I had dreamed.
Marko: What do you do in your spare time (We realize that spare time, in this context)
Karthick: Visit the CSS websites listed in all the CSS design Showcase sites (CSS Beauty, CSS Import, CSS Remix and much more) Try and learn something that I found new and latest on the web so as to be up to date.
Marko: Do you have a favorite drink? How much of it do you drink?
Karthick: I am a strict non-alcoholic and a strict non-Smoker, so not familiar with any of the drink. I prefer to take any kind fresh fuit juice.
Marko: Would you care to give us a brief overview of what a typical day is like for you ?
Karthick: Sure, My day starts with a pleasent wake up in the morning after a tiresome work all through the late hours ion the night. Rushing to office which is 14Km from my residence in a busy traffic. Do the days work at office and have liesure chat with my colleagues in the team. Return home in the evening. Spend few hours with family. Again start my works pending for the day for my freelance clients and continuing the same until I feel comfortable and energetic even if it extends beyound the dawn.
Marko: I am always wondering how people such as yourself go about getting work? How do you do it?
Karthick: Have a nice good portfolio of yourself and thats the key.
Marko: Who are some of your biggest influences?
Karthick: Andy Budd, Eric Meyer, Cameron Moll and Mike (Emotions-his design portfolio)
Marko: Is your background in design? What was the progression into web development and design like?
Karthick: No, I did my Bachelors Degree in Agriculture. Switched to designing after my graduation.
Marko: If you where not a designer/programmer what would you be?
Karthick: A good plant breeder, doing research on crops so as to find more and more better crop varieties and hybrids.
Marko: How do you like our site mcville.net?
Karthick: Its neat and simple, but lot of better ways out there to make it better. I think you have to look for one soon.
Marko: If you could change something on mcville what would it be?
Karthick: The font used in mcVille.net title.
Marko: What kind of music do you fancy?
Karthick: Good peppy numbers.
Marko: What’s your favorite food?
Karthick: South Indian dishes and receipes
Marko: Where do you get out on Saturday’s?
Karthick: Not often, but occasionally to movies.

Marko: Chinese or Thai (food)?
Karthick: Neither I am familiar nor tasted. But I guess the fried rice varieties from both are delicious.

Marko: Do you watch television? If so, do you have a favorite show?
Yes. Car and Bike shows on BBC (Wheels if I am right)
Marko:What OS do you use ?
Karthick: Windows

Karthick: All related to CSS
Marko: What inspires you? This doesn’t have to be design related.
Karthick: Whoever who excels in their area of expertise whether it be a Ronaldo in football or Schumachur in F1 racing or Sachin in Cricket or Andy Budd in CSS
