Marko: Hello Tiffany,for our reader’s could you tell something about yourself?
(year old and other stuff)

Tiffany: I am 36 years old. A mother of a 3 year old Odessa and married to a
Professor of Robotics at UCBerkeley. We live in Northern California:)

Marko: How are you doing these days?
Tiffany: Great. It is terrific how my love for technology and film have finally
merged.I have just started a new insitute called, The Moxie Institute which
focuses on the intersection between these worlds.

Marko: When did you first encounter a keyboard or
computer?

Tiffany: when I was 11. An Apple Iie.

Marko: What is your favorite art work /website!?

Tiffany: Hmmm….My husband’s first art project with the internet called the
Tele-garden. It has been in a museum in Austria for many years.
People can operate a garden over the internet with a robot. It was his
ironic take on what you can’t do with computers..

Marko: When you launched Webby Awards are you happy with the result
of the site so far,and how did it all start?

Tiffany: yes. It has been an amazing journey.
When I started The Webby Awards only 16 million people were online. Now
there are close to 1 billion. It is an amazing thing.

Marko: What do you do in your spare time ?
Tiffany: cook with my daughter.

Marko: Do you have a favorite drink? How much of it do you
drink?

Tiffany: mohito! I am a lightweight so I don’t drink too much.

Marko: Would you care to give us a brief overview of what a typical
day is like for you ?

Tiffany: I awake in my home which I love…we just moved here. My husband/daughter
and I hang out. Then We get her ready for school. Then I work from my home
office, on the computers, calls…I usually have meetings in San Francisco
also.

Marko: I am always wondering how people such as yourself go about
getting work? How do you do it?

Tiffany: I receive emails everyday from people asking me to do things:)
I lecture a lot on the influence of Web on Technology. I am also a film
director and receive many invitations to speak and show my films.
My last film was at the Sundance film festival and will play at Rotterdam
this month:)

Marko: Who are some of your biggest influences?
Tiffany: My parents.

Marko: Is your background in design? What was the progression into
web development and design like?
Tiffany: my background is filmmaking.
