Marko: Bok Milica !
Milica: Ciao Marko.

Marko: For our readers could you tell something about yourself? (year old and other stuff)
Milica: I’m 25 years old living and working in Serbia.
Currently I work as a Creative Director of Web Design for “Mongoose – The Web Company” (USA) and have my own web studio located in Serbia.
I also run a few personal projects such as www.cssprincess.com and www.ywds.org.
I have a big family, two sisters, one dog, three cats, and lot of friends. I enjoy the little things in life, hoping that bigger things are about to come.

Marko: How are you doing these days?
Milica: Very good! Trying to relax and enjoy in my summer vacation as much as I can, but also preparing for a big working season.

Marko: When did you first encounter a keyboard or computer?
Milica: At the end of primary school, I think. It’s funny that I didn’t like computers then. My main frustration about the computers was because everything was so ugly
and black on the screen. I even tried to avoid my computer classes all the time. I thought that I’ll never work on those “terrible machines”.
Lucky for me, the new age has come quickly. :)

Marko: What is your favorite art work /website!?
Milica: That’s a pretty tough question. I can’t decide right now because there are so many of them… :)

Marko: When you launched ywds.org are you happy with the result of the site?

Milica: Ywds.org was launched in 2005, as a project of two people (including me). This is now my personal website, portfolio, and blog.
My playground is a better word, but also a spot where my clients and all other people can find me.
I’m receiving a lot of emails from people who like my work, and that’s something sweet. From that point of view I’m very happy with the results of my site.

Marko: What do you do in your spare time ?
Milica: When I have spare time (which is not very often) I like to hang out with my friends, go to the theater, watch movies and all of the other stuff that people
of my age like to do. I love to paint and learn different languages, and wish I could have more time for that.

Marko: Do you have a favorite drink? How much of it do you drink?
Milica:

Since I’m non-alcoholic, my favorite drinks are mostly juices, water, lemonade and energy drinks sometimes when I need to stay wake up all night.

Marko: Would you care to give us a brief overview of what a typical day is like for you ?

Milica: I wake up very late because I prefer to work at night. I have crazy biorhythm and my days are not that typical… But in this moment, work is one of the prioritets
in my life. When I’m not working I’m spending time with my friends or family – or both. I always try to
spend quality time with loving people as much as I can. Usually, I go to bed early in the morning and always can see the most beautiful part of the day – dawn.

Marko: I am always wondering how people such as yourself go about getting work? How do you do it?

Milica: Well, it’s simple. I was a freelancer for a few years and had and still have many clients. You can’t have better commercial and promotion than a satisfied client.
When you do your job with full commitment and love, people know that and they will be very happy to recommend you. Basically that’s it. I think that is one golden
rule of a success – do your job the best you can. Also I am very ocupated working for Mongoose in this moment, I don’t have to worry about getting the work I get to focus
on doing what I do best.

Marko: Who are some of your biggest influences?

Milica: I didn’t have too much support of my family at the start of my career and I was very frustrated because of that. They were worried about the fact that I’m spending so
much time at the computer desk. So, I think that I had the biggest influence on myself. I pushed myself to learn and work very hard day after day.
I’m very persistent person and from that point of view no one can have bigger and more powerful influence on me and my way of thinking.

Marko: Is your background in design? What was the progression into web development like?

Milica: I always liked everything that is related to visual arts. When I was a little girl my biggest dream was to become a famous painter.
I love to paint and truly believe that this part of my character was one of the biggest reasons why I started designing at the first place.
I remember when I first saw Photoshop – that was love at the first site. Not too much later I found that web design is something very attractive for me, and
I started to learn how to relate my creativity with web technology. That wasn’t really hard because I truly enjoyed and still enjoy in learning.

Marko: If you where not a web designer what would you be?

Milica: Most likely that I would accomplished my childhood dream to become a painter. But I’m very happy because of opportunity to learn and work something similar with that.

Marko: How do you like our site mcville.net?

Milica: It’s great. One of my favorite reads. You have great idea here and sometimes (very often) that’s the only thing it matters.

Marko: What kind of music do you fancy?

Milica: My taste for music is very different sometimes. I think that the main point in life is to have open mind and enjoy in different things. With music is the same.
I listen all kind of music from pop, rock, techno to classics. For ex. I love opera, but also enjoy ethnic music from all over the world.
And of course Serbian music, too.

Marko: What’s your favorite food?

Milica: I try to eat healthy and my taste for food is similar to that. I love fish and lots of vegetables. That’s my favorite. I’m not so boring, though and also love spicy
food but without meat.

Marko: Where do you get out on Saturday’s?

Milica: We have very dynamic night life in Belgrade so it’s not difficult to find a place to have a good fun on Saturday night or any other night in week.
All kinds of caffe-bars and clubs are interesting but
I also like quiet atmosphere and dinner at nice restaurants. When I have time I love to go to the theater or cinema.

Marko: Chinese or Thai (food)?
Milica:

Chinese.

Marko: Coke or Pepsi?
Milica:

None.

Marko: HTML or CSS? :)
Milica:

Both, off course. Altought, I enjoy more in making CSS, HTML is something that completes the story.

Marko: Do you watch television? If so, do you have a favorite show?
Milica:

Yes, but not much. When I have time for that I love to watch all kinds of reality shows and films. I’m a big fan of “Will and Grace”, “Friends”, “The Simpsons” etc.
Also I simply adore to watch cartoons – CN is one of my favorite channels.

Marko:What OS do you use ?
Milica:

Windows XP

Marko: What would we find in your favorites bookmarks-bar?
Milica:

Oh, so many things. :) I collect beautiful websites for my gallery
and I could say that has become one of my hobbies. Beside that, I have many usefuls links, tutorials and all other stuff related to my work and all the things
that I’m interesting in.

Marko: What inspires you? This doesn’t have to be design related.
Milica:

Anything can inspire me – colors, nature, people, other sites, but most of the time, my biggest inspiration is the fact that I’m doing the job that I like.
