Jamie Carl Moore Interview

Interivew with Jamie Carl Moore at carldesigns.net

Marko: Heya Jamie!
Jamie: Hello!

Marko: For our reader’s could you tell something about yourself? (year old and other stuff)

Jamie: My name is Jamie Carl Moore and im a 31 year old freelancing designer from Indianapolis, IN. I live with my wife Yvonne, our little Chihuahua name Maggie Mae
and our Ferret name Killer. I live an average life just like many of the people out there in the world. Wake up in the morning go to work come home to hang out and
chill on the computer or off to the skatepark to do some skateboarding.

Marko: How are you doing these days?
Jamie: Busy, busy, busy. I am getting enough clients to the point that I am having a hard time keeping up with my own 3 sites. Plus me and some friends/business partners
are working on getting Artex Studio design/hosting company site up that will be at artexstudios.com.

Marko: When did you first encounter a keyboard or computer?

Jamie: I was going to school to learn C++ so I figure I better get a computer to work with at home. Then I ended up dropping out of college due to car problems and living
conditions. After that I got married and just havn’t gone back yet.

Marko: What is your favorite art work /website!?

Jamie: Wow, tough questions. I have so many favorites that vary in style. I try not to favor a certain style but to look at designs and sites with different views.
I mean, I’ve seen stuff that look like sloppy little kids work but looks so meaningfull just as well as some high end design work.

Marko: when you launched carldesigns.net are you happy with the result of the site?

Jamie: I never really find my self fully statisfied with my own work. I find my self growing tired of my creation and just wanting to change every thing up alot.
I always look at my work and just think to myself that I can do so much better even if some one else thinks its great. I think that what pushes me forward to
keeping designing at a different level. Alot of people say they like my work so I must be doing some thing right. I plan to redo my sites this winter so be on the
look out for that as well.

Marko: What do you do in your spare time (We realize that spare time, in this context)
Jamie: Skateboarding, Spending time with my wife and pets, hanging out with friends and designing.

Marko: Do you have a favorite drink? How much of it do you drink?

Jamie: I love beer.

Marko: Would you care to give us a brief overview of what a typical day is like for Jamie Carl Moore?

Jamie: Wake up and go to work. While at work I think about how much I can’t wait to get home. Once I get home I take care of the pets and talk to my wife from her work.
Then I either go skateboarding or sit at the computer and play and or do some designing work.

Marko: I am always wondering how people such as yourself go about getting work? How do you do it?

Jamie: I have been getting clients emailing me and just asking me for work. Word of mouth and just meeting people on the net and in public.

Marko: Who are some of your biggest influences?

Jamie: I can’t really say any one inperticular. Like I stated before that there are some many great artists out there with different styles that have different emotion in their work.

Marko: Is your background in design? What was the progression into web development and design like?

Jamie: Well, I started out making programs. Then I started to have people who wanted the programs that I made. Once the demand came for my programs I made a web site
to display my programs for download. Once I made that first site I just fell in love with making sites and art. So I drifted away from programing to web designing and art.

Marko: If you where not a designer/programmer what would you be?

Jamie: A lost soul.

Marko: How do you like our site mcville.net?

Jamie: Good content and interviews. I would make the site a little bit more balanced with the way it appears to the eyes.

Marko: If you could change something on the site what would it be?
Jamie: The viewing balance of the site.

Marko: What kind of music do you fancy?

Jamie: I listen to any kind of music that touches the soul. Rock, classical, blue grass, metal, hip hop, country, jazz and etc..

Marko: What’s your favorite food?

Jamie: Beer.

Marko: Where do you get out on Saturday’s?

Jamie: Hang out with my friends and go skateboarding. If nothing else doing some work on the computer.
